Privacy Policy

1. Data We Collect

We collect only what the app needs to work:

• Account data — your name and email address, collected when you create an account, used to identify you and secure your data.
• Text you enter — the text and stories you submit for translation or speech generation, used to produce the audio and to save your work in your account.
• Microphone audio — recorded only while you are actively recording or in a voice conversation, and only after you grant microphone permission. It is used to convert your speech to text or to power the conversation feature. We do not record in the background or when the app is not in use.
• Voice recordings you choose to contribute — if you take part in the voice recording program, the clips you upload are stored and may be used to improve the Hmong voice models. This is entirely optional and only applies to recordings you deliberately submit.
• Basic usage counts — anonymous daily visit counts and per-account character usage, used for capacity planning and to apply monthly limits. These contain no personal content.

We do not collect your contacts, photos, precise location, health data, or advertising identifiers, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to operate and improve Hmong Voice Agent: generating speech, transcribing speech, saving your stories and recordings, maintaining your account, and enforcing usage limits. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

3. Where Your Data Is Stored

Account records, saved stories, and uploaded recordings are stored on our application hosting platform. Text and audio you submit for speech generation or transcription is processed on our own voice servers. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and access is restricted to authorized personnel.

4. How Long We Keep It

Text and audio sent for speech generation or transcription is processed to return your result and is not retained afterwards for training. Stories, recordings, and account data stay in your account until you delete them or delete your account. When you delete your account, your account record and the data tied to it are removed.

5. Third Parties

We share data only with the service providers required to run the app — our application hosting and database platform, our voice model servers, and our payment processor for purchases made on our website. These providers process data on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose data if required by law.

6. Your Choices and Rights

You can review, correct, export, or delete your data at any time. Individual stories and recordings can be deleted directly in the app. You can permanently delete your entire account and its data from the Settings page in the app, without contacting us. You can also revoke microphone permission at any time in your device settings; speech features will simply stop working. To make any other privacy request, email us at the address below.

7. Children

Hmong Voice Agent is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
